Why am I being asked to verify my identity?
Some of our courier partners require the sender to do a digital identity check. This process verifies that a person is who they say they are and helps to prevent fraud.
The courier services that require this extra security step are shown in the quote results like this:
If you choose to book one of these services, you’ll be guided through a fast and simple online ID check where you’ll need to upload two images:

A picture of your photo ID (passport or driving license)

A scan of your face
These two images are compared and as long as they match, your identity will be verified. Your successful ID check will be stored against your account so you don’t need to repeat this process the next time you book. You can remove your ID check at any time.
How is my personal data used and stored?
The information collected for your ID check is not stored with Parcel Monkey, so we will never see or use your data.
Our identity verification process is provided by Yoti, a trusted and secure digital identity platform used by businesses and Governments around the world. Yoti will store your data and will only share it under the circumstances outlined in their privacy policy.
